Duties & Responsibilities We are looking for a Senior Test Analyst to join our team in Cape Town for a 3 to 6-month contract position with a hybrid work model. This role involves performing testing activities of medium to high complexity to ensure the successful delivery of business and IT solutions.
Key Responsibilities: - Design, develop, and execute detailed test strategies for system enhancements, new applications, defect fixes, incident resolutions, and disaster recovery testing.
Essential Requirements: - Degree or Diploma in Information Technology or a related field. - Formal software testing qualification (ISTQB CTFL / ISEB or equivalent). - Minimum of 4+ years of experience as a Senior Test Analyst. - Strong experience in manual testing, SQL, and Agile/Scrum environments. - Solid understanding of functional, system, integration, and regression testing. - Proven experience testing complex user interfaces. - Thorough knowledge of structured testing methodologies and QA best practices. - Strong understanding of the QA role within Agile delivery teams.
Desirable Requirements: - Advanced testing certification (e.g., ISTQB CTAL). - Experience with API testing and automated testing tools. - Familiarity with tools such as Selenium, QC, QTP, Test Complete, Robot Framework, or similar. - Experience with Remedy or similar configuration management tools. - Knowledge of performance testing and user acceptance testing (UAT). - Testing experience within a retail environment.
