Role Highlights We're looking for a Legal & Compliance Co-Ordinator (12-month Contract) to join our team in Johannesburg. In this role, you'll support the Legal, Risk & Compliance function across the FCTG Group, ensuring effective management of legal queries, compliance processes, and governance requirements. Working closely with the Head of Legal and Head of Risk & Audit, this role plays a key part in maintaining legal and regulatory integrity across the business. You'll be responsible for coordinating legal matters, supporting compliance initiatives, and ensuring company secretarial and B-BBEE processes are executed efficiently. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a keen eye for detail, strong organisational skills, and an interest in legal and compliance to gain exposure across a broad range of legal, risk, and governance activities within a global organisation. What You'll Do • Manage and coordinate legal and compliance queries via Freshdesk • Conduct research on regulations, legal matters, and compliance requirements • Investigate legal queries and gather relevant information across the business • Liaise with and instruct external legal counsel where required, tracking progress and updates • Review basic legal documents including NDAs and internal policies • Support legal compliance communications, updates, and training initiatives • Assist with SLA completion and review for business units (CT & FCM) • Coordinate follow-ups and action items from legal meetings Compliance & Governance • Ensure contracts are signed by authorised signatories • Manage e-signature processes and documentation (e.g., SigningHub) • Support regulatory submissions (e.g., ASATA) • Assist with company secretarial duties including AGMs, board meetings, and resolutions B-BBEE Support • Assist with administration of Trusts (beneficiaries, registers, meetings) • Support B-BBEE audit preparation (Supplier & Enterprise Development) • Manage relationships with BEE consultants and incubators • Source and vet Enterprise & Supplier Development beneficiaries What We're Looking For • Experience in legal, compliance, risk, or company secretarial environments • Exposure to investigations, legal queries, and document drafting • Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy • Excellent organisational and time management skills • Strong written and verbal communication skills • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines • Critical thinking and investigative mindset • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite Preferred Qualifications / Skills • Paralegal qualification or relevant legal/compliance certification • Exposure to CPA, regulatory frameworks, or governance processes • Experience supporting B-BBEE or compliance audits • Understanding of company secretarial practices • Experience working with external legal counsel Your Day-to-Day • Respond to and manage legal and compliance queries across the business • Conduct research and support ongoing legal matters • Track and coordinate external legal cases and updates • Maintain accurate records and documentation for compliance purposes • Support governance processes including meetings and reporting • Assist with B-BBEE administration and audit preparation • Collaborate with internal stakeholders across multiple business units What You Will Enjoy (Benefits) Inclusive culture at Flight Centre Travel Group Access to LinkedIn Learning + tailored development pathways Exclusive travel perks & retail discounts Strong focus on mental wellbeing & work-life balance Global career mobility and internal growth opportunities A company that values sustainability and giving back Ready to take the next step in your legal & compliance career?
