Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled AWS Architect to assess and design a highly reliable DevOps environment within the Amazon Web Services (AWS) Cloud Platform. The ideal candidate will have deep technical expertise in cloud architecture, strong problem-solving skills, and experience leading cloud transformation initiatives.
Duties & Responsibilities Key Responsibilities
Cloud Architecture & Design
Design and implement robust, scalable, and highly available systems on AWS. Develop cloud architecture standards, frameworks, and best practices. Translate business requirements into technical cloud solutions.
Implementation & Deployment
Lead the migration of on-premise systems to AWS. Automate infrastructure provisioning using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or AWS CloudFormation. Support CI/CD pipeline design and implementation.
Security & Compliance
Ensure solutions follow AWS security best practices and compliance requirements. Implement identity and access management (IAM), encryption, and monitoring controls. Conduct security reviews and risk assessments.
Performance & Cost Optimization
Monitor and optimize cloud resources for performance, scalability, and cost-efficiency. Recommend cost-saving strategies (e.g., Reserved Instances, Spot Instances). Collaboration & Leadership Work closely with DevOps, engineering, and business teams. Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers. Act as a subject matter expert for AWS-related initiatives. Documentation & Governance Maintain architecture diagrams and documentation. Establish governance policies for cloud usage.
Desired Experience & Qualification Education:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience). Preferred AWS Certifications (one or more): AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate/Professional AWS Certified DevOps Engineer
Experience:
5+ years of experience in cloud computing or IT infrastructure. 3+ years of hands-on experience with AWS services.
Expertise in core AWS services:
EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, VPC, IAM, CloudWatch Strong networking knowledge (DNS, VPN, load balancing, firewalls). Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes, Amazon ECS/EKS). Proficiency in scripting (Python, Bash, or similar). Experience with DevOps practices and tools (CI/CD, Git, Jenkins). Experience with multi-cloud environments (Azure, GCP). Knowledge of microservices architecture and serverless computing. Familiarity with compliance standards (ISO, SOC 2, GDPR).
