ROLE OVERVIEW
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Area Manager to oversee multiple contract cleaning sites. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring service excellence, staff management, client satisfaction, and operational efficiency across all allocated sites.
This role requires a hands-on leader who can manage people, systems, and client relationships while maintaining the highest standards.

Duties & Responsibilities KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Operations Management
Manage and oversee multiple cleaning contracts/sites Ensure all sites meet daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning standards Conduct regular site inspections and audits Ensure compliance with SOPs, SLAs, and ISO standards Manage stock, equipment, and chemical usage across sites
Staff Management
Recruit, train, and develop cleaning staff and supervisors Manage staff attendance, discipline, and performance Conduct regular toolbox talks and training sessions Ensure all staff follow health & safety procedures
Client Relationship Management
Maintain strong relationships with clients and site management Handle complaints and resolve issues promptly and professionally Conduct regular client meetings and service reviews Ensure high levels of client satisfaction and retention
Financial & Administrative Control
Manage labour hours in line with budgets Control costs, overtime, and wastage Oversee timesheets, payroll inputs, and reporting Ensure contracts remain profitable and efficient
Quality Control & Compliance
Implement and maintain quality control systems Ensure all documentation (checklists, reports, registers) is up to date Enforce health & safety compliance on all sites Ensure correct use of PPE and cleaning chemicals
Desired Experience & Qualification REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Requirements
3–5 years’ experience in contract cleaning or facilities management Proven experience managing multiple sites and teams Strong knowledge of cleaning processes, chemicals, and equipment Valid driver’s license (essential)
Advantageous
Experience in hygiene and pest control services Knowledge of ISO systems and compliance Supervisory or management qualification Experience working with large commercial or retail clients
